MiFooDo Send to basket
This extension collects nothing, sends nothing to any server, and never handles your supermarket login. Everything happens inside your own browser.
Last updated 13 October 2026.
What it does
The extension takes a shopping list of product ids and quantities (your MiFooDo meal plan) and adds those products to the basket of a supermarket you are already signed in to, in your own browser tab. You review and check out yourself on the supermarket’s own site.
What it accesses
- Your supermarket tab (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Iceland, Co-op and Ocado today, with more added over time). When you press Preview, Sync, Add or Empty, the extension runs in that tab, as you, to read and change your own basket using the site’s own requests. It uses your existing logged-in session. It never reads, stores, exports or transmits your login, password, cookies or payment details, and it never books a slot or pays. Access to each supermarket is requested only when you first use it there.
- MiFooDo pages (mifoodo.com, mifoodo.app, and recipes.r1se.co.uk during the transition). A small script there receives your meal plan’s product list when you press “Send to basket” and passes it to the extension. No account details are involved.
What it stores (locally, on your device only)
Using the browser’s local extension storage:
- the current shopping list waiting to be sent (product ids and quantities);
- a per-store list of the product ids the extension last added, so “Sync” and “Empty” only affect what the extension itself added and never touch items you added by hand.
This data stays in your browser. It is never sent to MiFooDo, to the extension’s authors, or to any third party. There are no analytics, no trackers, and no remote servers.
What it does not do
- It does not collect or transmit any personal data.
- It does not see or store your supermarket credentials or session.
- It does not take payment, place orders, or book delivery slots.
- It does not sell or share any data, because it holds none to share.
You always review and check out yourself on the supermarket’s own site.
